Each year Mom sent off dozens of Christmas cards to friends around the world.  These generally had a photo on the front from some recent trip or of a plant (often with red flowers and green leaves in the Christmas spirit).  On the back Mom penned a brief account of the previous year's highlights in her distinctive writing sometimes adding a dash of humor.  The cards give a good sense of what Mom and Dad and the family were up to.  They were all handwritten; only in the last few years did Mom use photocopied letters.  A couple of years there were two different photo cards, and occasionally Dad penned a note.  Friends Ron and Hazel from England saved a lot of these cards and helpfully sent them to us, and Susana Neirlich from Santa Monica helped as well.
