Point Reyes National Seashore is bounded by the Pacific Ocean and Drakes Bay to the West and Tomales Bay and the Bolinas Ridge to the East.  Lining Drakes Bay from Point Reyes in the North to Duxbury Point in the South are Drakes Beach, Limantour Beach, Santa Maria Beach, Sculptured Beach, Kelham Beach, Wildcat Beach, Palomarin Beach and Agate Beach.  The waters offshore are part of the 3,295 square mile Greater Farallones National Marine Sanctuary.
Wildcat Beach is a 6.3-mile hike from Bear Valley Visitor Center and 2 miles from Glen campground.  A nice campground overlooks Wildcat Beach, but it has a limited number of spaces.
Walking up the beach, one reaches the base of Alamere Falls.  A rope to the left of the falls allows people to climb to the top, but the crumbling rock can be hazardous (1, 2).  A bit further up the beach is Double Point.
