Douglas-fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) cones distinguished by "three-pronged bracts that stick out of the scales."
Coast Live Oak (Quercus agrifolia).
Tanoak (Lithocarpus densiflorus).
California Bay (Umbellularia californica) with sooty mold. 
Hazelnut (Corylus cornuta var. californica).
Coffeeberry (Frangula californica).  The Calscape description notes that it is a shrub 6-15' tall with inconspicuous flowers and berries prized by birds.  There are six subspecies as well as horticultural varieties. (>)
Huckleberry (Vaccinium ovatum).  According to Calscape it grows to a height of 8'. (>)
