Dec 88 Dear Ron and Hazel,       Another year gone by—it seems to go faster every year.  The reverse is a picture of our last year's Christmas time camping expedition to Anza Borego Desert State Park.  This was a snow storm that hit on our last day there—horizontal blowing flakes in the Desert!  We are going again this year, so I guess it wasn't an awful experience.  We're mostly the same as ever.  MMA is getting more into teaching with less research.  Busier than ever.  I am still managing the Chem Dept stockroom.  The kids are still mostly in school.  Just got back frm a week in Hawaii—recruiting for USC.  Have a wonderful new year.       The Applemans
