December 1990      Another year has flown by.  Hope this finds you all well and happy.  Our picture this year is from Pine lake on the eastern side of the Sierras.  We took a short back back trip there in June—ran into a snow storm (shown gathering in the distance).  Had a great trip tho...hope to do more while the energy is still there.      This year we have done some remodeling at home so have suffered the stress of pumbers that were just plain dumb and carpenters that were sloppy etc etc (and etc!!).  We redid our baths and whole plumbing system + added a veranda and new driveway.        Our sons will be home for Christmas.  Eric from George Washington Univ. Miguel from Cornell and Alex from Univ of Wisconsin in Madison (he started there this fall).  Have a Happy holiday season and Good New Year----       The Applemans

Its toosdee - the 18th Dear Mom,       As you can see it is getting close to Christmas and Im writing like mad to get my cards all done. It has been slow this year!      I hope by this time you are recovering from your fall and are feeling better. At least this time you won't have to lift beans—you have your "bar-bell" weight built in to your cast.      The kids start arriving home tomorrow nite. That will be Lex who says he's now in the Bacteriology Dept. He also said he had a final exam at 7:30 am last Sunday!!!! Miguel got his MS early last week and will be here around friday. Eric arrives Sat nite. We all leave for Palm Canyon at Anza Borrego for camping nites of 23, 24, 25 & 26. On the nite of the 27th we may go to Joshua trees or come home — we shall see how cold we feel. The pictur is from Junes trip to the Sierras.
